Your new job  

As a Customs Operations Specialist, you’ll play an important part in the team and contribute to a better everyday life for the many. Your primary focus will be to send correctly compiled import declarations using a digital solution in direct contact with Customs Authorities in each country. The impact of our work will resonate in homes and hearts across the world. On a typical working day, you will:  

• Control and investigate various issues to secure compliance in securing every customs declaration according to countries legislations.   

• Secure good communication and support to and from other IKEA units, external service providers and authorities within Asia Pacific to ensure timely, accurate and compliant entries according to customs rules and regulations  

• Contribute to the development of how we work and reach our goals within the department.   

What we’d like you to bring to the table  

To be successful in the role as a Customs Operations Specialist we believe you are:  

• Experienced in or hold an education within the field of customs and import operation, logistics or supply chain   

• Familiar with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel  

• Comfortable with working and navigating in digital IT solutions  

• Fluent in both written and spoken English  

It’s a plus if you also:  

• Are service-minded with a clear and respectful way of communicating  

• Work in a structured way both on your own, in a team and with relevant stakeholders.   

• Find motivation in routine-based work and a process driven environment with a high pace.
