WHO YOU AREWe’re looking for a candidate with:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in tactical and strategic sourcing within supply chain and logistics
- A university degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Proven experience in stakeholder and supplier management within a logistics or distribution environment
- Experience from working in global projects
- Experience working in global supply chain organizations, with reporting and collaboration in matrix teams
We believe you are passionate about procurement, and about doing good business for the many people. You are a senior purchaser, comfortable navigating in an international business environment, and in global matrix organisations. You also have a proven track record of delivering business results in such environments. Experience from the logistics- or automation industry will benefit you in the role. Procurement experience from areas such as digital services, construction services, or retail expansion are also beneficial for the role.
You have the desire to find new opportunities to improve business and have the capability to communicate the vision, influence the decisions and secure the deployment of business cases. You are entrepreneurial, have strong drive and fact-based business capabilities supports you making the right decisions. You have deep understanding about cost drivers and how they impact the total value chain. You do that by leading your area of responsibility with a holistic view, always acting with the Customer, Supplier, and total IKEA in mind.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Category Purchaser you have the possibility to deliver end-to-end within the Procurement role at Ingka, with a focus on the area of warehousing automation for IKEA’s logistics operations. You will be responsible for a wide array of Procurement activities, from management of our supplier base to creating long and trustful relationships with stakeholders to identify business needs. The responsibility of the role includes:
• Securing the Procurement deliverables in our omnichannel projects
• Supplier management
• Supplier performance development
• Identifying and creating business opportunities based on Ingka and Category strategies.
In projects, and in the daily operations, you will work actively across multiple business functions to facilitate and support the overarching objective of optimizing the total value contribution from Ingka’s automation investments. You will actively monitor the external market conditions to find new business opportunities within your subsegment.
