    • Freedom with responsibility and trust
    • Opportunity to grow as a leader and professional
    • A chance to ensure a safe, functional, and inspiring environment for customers and co-workers

Great! Then I have good news for you.

My name is Leysan Bubon, District Facility Management Manager at Ingka Real Estate, and I’m now looking for a Unit Facility Manager to join our team at IKEA Uddevalla.
You’ll be part of a close, dedicated team – together with a Facility Specialist – and collaborate daily with store management, technicians, and external partners. It’s a small team with a big impact, and your role will be key in making sure our property supports both people and business every day.

    ABOUT THE ROLE
As Unit Facility Manager, you take full ownership of the facility management scope – from preventive maintenance and compliance to project coordination and long-term planning. You are the ambassador for everything related to property operations, ensuring safety, functionality, and sustainability.
You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leading through influence and collaboration. Every day brings new challenges – but also new opportunities to make a real difference for our people, our customers, and the planet.

    YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and secure operational excellence: Maintain the property and assets with a long-term perspective, ensuring reliability, functionality, and sustainability.
    • Take ownership of the FM scope: Deliver quality, cost-efficient, and compliant services aligned with Ingka standards and local regulations.
    • Lead people and stakeholders: Support, coach, and engage others – from your direct team to suppliers and store functions – fostering collaboration and accountability.
    • Drive project delivery: Coordinate and plan projects, renovations, and maintenance activities with internal and external partners.
    • Financial accountability: Develop and manage the property budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control within CAPEX and OPEX.
    • Ensure compliance and improvement: Keep digital tools, documentation, and audits up to date; analyze data to identify actions and continuous improvements.

At Ingka, we continuously look for smarter and more sustainable ways to manage our buildings – and we’re looking for someone who enjoys challenges, embraces change, and turns insights into action.

    ABOUT YOU
You are a confident Facility Management professional who takes pride in ownership and long-term thinking. You combine solid technical and financial understanding with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
    We believe you bring:

    • Proven experience in facility management, property operations, or technical maintenance, ideally in a complex or retail environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills – direct and indirect – with the ability to develop people and drive performance.
    • Strong background in stakeholder management and coordination of external suppliers and contractors.
    • Good understanding of budget management and the link between operational performance and P&L results.
    • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
    • Proficiency in Office 365 and relevant IT systems for facility management.

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable making decisions. You build trust, encourage teamwork, and always look for ways to improve how things are done. Most importantly, you share our IKEA values and care about people and the environment.

A DAY IN LIFE WITH US
You and your colleague ensure that the building is always ready to welcome customers and co-workers in the best possible way. You think ahead, act with purpose, and collaborate to keep our property safe, efficient, and inspiring. Together, you help deliver property solutions that are sustainable, cost-effective, and fully aligned with IKEA’s vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.
