  • Who you are

    Lead IKEA Korea’s Furniture & HFA growth agenda across all channels, acting as the “CEO of the HFBs” to win market share, expand contribution margin, and strengthen brand preference. Orchestrate category strategy, commercial mechanics, range/price architecture, and omnichannel execution with a data driven, locally relevant approach while role modeling IKEA values and accelerating the growth direction.

    Lead the Furniture/HFA team across Home Furnishing Business Areas with an open, sharing climate, championing sustainability initiatives in the offer and communication.

    You as a leader:
    • Creates high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and scales repeatable ways of working across stores and digital during rapid expansion.
    • Navigates the Ingka (franchisee) and Inter IKEA Systems B.V. (franchisor) landscape with ease, translating global concepts and range direction into locally resonant, commercial choices for Korea.
    • Operates as an omni-operator, turning inspiration into conversion across all touchpoints, partnering tightly with Digital, CFF, HFRD, Marketing, and Communications.
    • Balances affordability and price image with mix and margin, turns insight into action, and coaches leaders to be ready for the next opening.
    • Leads through change with IKEA values, ready to land new formats like the Seoul Gangdong store, pop-ups, and small customer meeting points

    Your responsibilities

    • Strategic Leadership & Direction: Define and lead the strategy for the Furniture/HFA Categories in collaboration with business leaders, key stakeholders across other Retail areas, and IKEA global organisations ensuring alignment with market development needs and IKEA’s values. Provide input to the country commercial plan and other IKEA BPL components.
    • Drive profitable growth for these areas by defining the commercial offer, including sales steering, activation, pricing, optimizing the range offer, sales and supply for today and future demands and secure year-round performance excellence by supervising sales, profit, and margin, and acting on deviations and opportunities.
    • Multichannel Integration & Execution: Enable and execute integrated multichannel outputs to realize business opportunities across all customer touchpoints.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration & Influence: Actively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Digital, Sustainability, Range & Supply) to maximize impact and ensure cohesive execution.
    • Team Leadership & Cultural Transformation: Lead the Furniture/HFA team across Home Furnishing Business Areas, foster an open and sharing climate, and champion sustainability and IKEA values.
