What will you do?
The Business Navigation Manager will steer the Delft store and PMA (Primary Market Area) towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability, in line with the IKEA objectives and values. You will always take a multi-dimensional view, considering customer, commercial, people, financial and operational perspectives.
In this role you will:
- Coach and challenge the team and colleagues in the store on relevant business navigation competencies, to improve their contribution to business performance.
- Coordinate the business planning process together with the Business Navigation & Operations Manager, ensuring it is aligned with commercial plans and local potentials and coordinate and agree on an updated forecast throughout the year.
- Communicate and follow up on relevant business information and goals to managers and co-workers, in a simple way which engages and inspires them to take meaningful actions to achieve the agreed goals.
- Proactively use all the information, tools and benchmarks available, to identify opportunities and to ensure a multi-dimensional approach to steering the business in order to achieve growth and sustained long term profitability with our customers in focus.
- Support continuous improvement, efficiency and simplicity by identifying proven solutions, looking for new business opportunities and improved ways of working.
- Identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning.
- Lead our business through people by securing competent, high-performing and customer focused leaders who develop and empower diverse co-workers to exceed customers’ expectations.
Who are you?
For this role you need the following qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a business controlling department, experience in retail and international company is preferred.
- Bachelor in finance/business administration/economics.
- Good understanding of general accounting principles and guidelines.
- Deep understanding of Profit & Loss and ability to translate it in concrete goals for managers and co-workers.
- Proven experience in cost and managerial reporting (KPI's etc.).
- Set budgets, forecasts and implement action plans to reach the defined goals.
- Ability to lead business through people by demonstrating high leadership capabilities.
- Ability to build trust and communicate clearly with different people in various situations and to be able to influence and cooperate with different functions.
- Ability to make things happen with flexibility, speed and simplicity.
What does IKEA Delft offer?
- Monthly salary between 4329 and 5818 EUR gross (based on full-time employment), based on experience and background
- Contract duration of 1 year with the prospect of a permanent position.
- 13th month and holiday allowance.

Availability
At IKEA the customer is in in focus. Our customers visit the store at various times, also in the evening, weekends, during national holidays and during school holidays. We expect that you will be present when the customers visits us. Of course, you have an impact on your schedule yourself as well.
