IKEA Oxford Street are looking to welcome a Store Assistant to the store team!

This role is all about helping our customers access our products. A main responsibility of this role is assembling IKEA furniture to support with promotional launches and selling solutions. WHAT WE OFFER
• The Start Date of employment will be: 26th July 2025 • Competitive hourly rate of £13.85 per hour. • Working hours will be 20 hours per week including day shift, evenings and 3 in 4 weekends. • We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Retail sales experience with a solid background in retail foundations, sales and customer service is preferred, but not essential. • Prior experience in furniture assembly—whether in a personal or professional capacity—would be advantageous for this role. • A positive approach, enjoy handling various tasks, and are motivated to be part of the team and can work without supervision. • A customer first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do. • Computer literacy skills and are able to work with technology. • You can prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available, with great attention to detail.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers working across various departments throughout the day, supporting customers to find the best solutions for their life at home. • You are interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design, keen to share this with our customers. • You support enhancing sales by ensuring your areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting. • A primary focus of your role will be building furniture for the commercial activities department, supporting with promotional launches and selling solutions.
