    About the job

    IKEA Malaysia is looking for a passionate and strategic Human Resource Manager to play a pivotal role in translating Ikano Retail’s global people strategy into actionable plans that drive business success and enhance the co-worker experience.

     

    As a key partner to the Retail Manager, you will ensure HR strategies are effectively implemented and aligned with business priorities. You will collaborate closely with Store HR Managers to drive impactful people initiatives across IKEA Malaysia stores, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy while adapting to local market needs.

     

    Your assignment

    • Develop and execute a forward-thinking Country People Strategy that aligns with business goals, fosters a high-performance culture, and ensures IKEA Malaysia’s market leadership.
    • Partner with the Global HR Team to align and implement strategic initiatives in Rewards & Benefits, Talent & Organizational Development, and Co-worker Experience, ensuring global consistency while adapting to local needs.
    • Led the HR agenda for IKEA Malaysia stores, working closely with Store HR Managers to drive impactful people initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of the people cycle, HR programs, and action plans.
    • Integrate HR strategies into broader business operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance workforce planning, talent development, and operational efficiency.
    • Strengthening IKEA’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to position the company as an employer of choice, attracting and retaining top talent.
    • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), embedding inclusive practices across all HR and business functions.
    • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, Ikano Retail policies, and HR standards, while proactively managing industrial relations.
    • Act as a strategic HR advisor to the Retail Manager and Malaysia Management Team, providing insights and guidance to drive business success.
    • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions during business transformation, market expansions, or organizational shifts.
    • Leverage HR technology and analytics to drive data-informed decisions, optimize HR processes, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.

    Qualification

    Your profile

    • 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management or business partnering roles, preferably in the retail or service industry, with a background in managing large, complex organizations.
    • Proven leadership in building a high-performance, people-centric culture, with a strong commitment to talent growth and development.
    • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering a workplace where IKEA’s values are actively lived.
    • Experienced in driving strategic HR initiatives that enhance employee experience, engagement, and overall business performance.
    • Business-minded with expertise in talent development, strategic workforce planning, and aligning HR strategies with business goals.
    • Strong HR analytics capabilities, leveraging data to inform strategy, optimize HR processes, and measure impact.
