    • IKEA Cardiff are excited to invite enthusiastic and friendly people to join our amazing Customer Relations team.

    Do you enjoy creating the wonderful every day? Does communicating and working in a team come naturally to you? If so, we would love to hear from you. We have one role in our After Sales / Returns area, and one role where you may work across After Sales / Returns, and also the check-outs. These are 24-hour and 30-hour a week contracts, these will require weekend working and also work in the evenings during the week at times.

    Induction date will be Sunday, 14 and Sunday, 21 December. If successful, it is important that you can attend on both of these dates.

    WHAT WE OFFER

    • £12.60 an hour (Living Wage Foundation Employer).
    • 24- and 30-hour a week contracts, working 3 in 4 weekends.
    • Latest shift finishing times Monday to Saturday are at 20:30pm. Shifts during Sunday include latest finishing times at roughly 17:00pm.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    We are looking for co-workers who strive to give an amazing customer shopping experience; co-workers that always put the customer at the heart of everything they do and inspire others to do the same.

    The ideal candidate will have experience - paid, voluntary or at school - of working in a team environment. You will be passionate about learning, and enthusiastic about offering a superb customer experience for our customers. Retail or customer-facing experience is desirable.

    This is a fast-paced role, and so you should have demonstrated experience and a willingness to work in a role where you may be serving many customers - especially at the weekends in-store!

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    This role is varied with no two days being the same; you will be based in After Sales and Returns, however, you may also work across other areas such as the check-outs and self-serve scanning area, helping customers to purchase their products.

    • You support at our After Sales / Customer Returns area, using your confident approach to working with customers to resolve issues, process refunds/returns where appropriate, and helping customers leave the store happy.
    • You aim to create a positive experience for our customers so that they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
    • You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
    • Meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers at the check-outs and returns desk.
    • Supporting customers to pay at tills, including scanning items, taking payment, and providing support and guidance at our self-serve scanning area.
    • Build loyalty by listening to our customers and using your knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions.
