Job Description
In accordance with business plan, the Procurement specialist develops and implements the supplier base for recycled wood , delivering excellent performance in running operations and building professional long-term business relationship.
You will actively contribute to the development of long-term Category Business Plans. The objective is to deliver excellent results in sourcing of raw wood, residuals and recycled wood for IKEA Industry Board Mill located in Lithuania.
Your tasks will include:
- Be overall business responsible for supplier performance (Price Development, Quality, Logistic, Sustainability) and the business relationship
- Identify and start-up new suppliers for recycled wood segment
- Close cooperation with IKEA Industry Units mainly within Manufacturing Area Boards
- Secure compliance to IKEA agreed working methods.
- Responsible to lower total cost at suppliers through optimizing the value chain, working with the Supplier development process and creating strong action plans together with the suppliers.
Qualification
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
- Min 5 years’ experience in Wood Waste Management Business
- High expertise of Recycled Wood Supply Chain
- Deep knowledge of recycled wood Market in Baltic Region, it’s key players, dependencies, challenges and opportunities
- Understanding of Value chain analysis, supplier development process and cost breakdown analysis
- High level capability to build trust, effective relations, partnerships with business partners
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical skills / excel proficiency
- Strong negotiation skills
- Structured and fact-based approach to business development
- Have high self-drive and can do attitude
- Strong business ethics and share the IKEA values
- Ability to work in remote set-up
- Be fluent in English, both in written and spoken
- Driving license holder.
More Information
This position will be based in IKEA Industry Kazlu Ruda.
The position requires both national and international travel (on average 8-10 days/month, more frequent presence needed in the factory in the beginning min 3 days/week)
