Lykli Gurugram Meeting Place is the Mixed-Use development by Ingka Centres which includes Office and Retail components, anchored by IKEA Store.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in areas such as community relations, NGO partnerships, sustainability, or people development, with a passion for creating a positive impact. • Experience building strong networks with NGOs is a valuable advantage and supports long term community engagement. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust, create clarity, and bring people together.
Purpose of Job:
• Integrate the Meeting Place into the heart of the local community, where community members feel connected, involved, and proud to act as Meeting Place ambassadors. Together with IKEA, build meaningful emotional connections that strengthen relationships with customers. • Co create the Meeting Place with local communities—both online and offline—by fostering genuine collaboration, shared ownership, and a strong sense of common spirit.
A day in your life with us
• Develops a community engagement plan together with relevant stakeholders, ensuring that it reflects local needs, opportunities, and shared ambitions. • Identifies the key communities connected to the Meeting Place and builds strong insights about the people who live around it, creating a deep understanding of their daily life, needs, and interests. • Establishes, maintains, and develops long term relationships with local communities, authorities, opinion leaders, and other external stakeholders to build trust and shared value. • Identifies challenges within the local community and explores how the Meeting Place can uniquely contribute to co creating meaningful, long term solutions. Engages IKEA Retail to support and amplify these efforts. • Partners with the Accelerator Hub and external organizations to identify and implement innovative community focused projects and initiatives in the Meeting Place. • Works with the Commercial Calendar to integrate the Meeting Place into local community life—ensuring that flexible, relevant events increase visitation while strengthening brand value, local uniqueness, and the overall customer experience. • Builds and strengthens trust, with a long term goal of shifting focus from individual needs to collective benefit and shared purpose. • Creates a dedicated Community Space within the Meeting Place as a platform for interaction, learning, and co creation. Develops and continuously improves Interest Clubs and content so the community always has a reason to visit, participate, and grow together. • Actively contributes to the sustainability agenda (PPP strategy) and positions the Meeting Place as a pioneer in sustainability and social responsibility within the local market. Involves community members in shaping and driving sustainability initiatives. • Acts as an ambassador of the IKEA brand and values, staying aware of how the Meeting Place is perceived locally. Uses these insights to shape marketing and engagement plans. • Identifies commercialization or co investment opportunities within marketing activities to reduce costs, enhance customer experience, and maximize value. Collaborates with the Additional Income team to integrate these opportunities into event planning and execution. • Ensures that the promotion of events and activities is aligned across all communication channels—including digital platforms, ATL, PR, and social media—to create clarity and reach. • Shares best practices and lessons learned with other Meeting Places to support continuous improvement and stronger community impact across the network.
