A day in your life with us
As a Data Management Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our data systems and driving the efficient acquisition, organization, storage, and usage of data across the country. Your efforts will ensure that IKEA has accurate, trusted, and relevant data, optimizing its business value through effective data lifecycle management and quality activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Contribute: Drive key digital projects where data is pivotal.
- Document and Update: Maintain comprehensive end-to-end data flow documentation.
- Enhance Data Processes: Provide valuable input for data acquisition, processing, and storage activities.
- Unleash Data Value: Make data more accessible and valuable for the business.
- Oversee Data Systems: Ensure optimal usage, acquisition, and storage of data in line with governance frameworks.
- Monitor Trends: Keep an eye on data trends, customer perceptions, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain Quality: Address data quality, redundancy, and retention issues.
- Lead Operational Group: Ensure data consistency, reliability, and accessibility across departments.
- Collaborate Globally: Work with global and matrix teams to share best practices.
- Ensure Compliance: Monitor and follow up on data quality and compliance with management standards.

In this role, you will report directly to the Country Digital Manager.

The Digital Team are accountable to lead and drive the Digital agenda and transformation within the country. As an organization we aim to ensure IKEA Digital products and technology are delivered with excellence to meet the needs of customers and co-workers to enhance the omnichannel IKEA shopping experience.

Knowledge of data is and will be a key part of our work in the future, and by making use of Big Data more than ever before to inform business decisions and gain deep insights into customer behavior, trends, and opportunities for creating extraordinary customer experiences.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Advanced training in information technology, business information management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a data professional or in a similar role.
- Experience with data queries.
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading in a collaborative environment.

Key Knowledge Areas:
- Leadership and communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels on data-related matters.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to work across multiple teams, both locally and globally.
- Extensive knowledge of data management principles.
- Basic understanding of enterprise architecture, IT systems, and databases to comprehend system integrations.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud, Google BigQuery preferred but alternatives are ok.
Basic knowledge of data management systems like SQL Server.
What else is important
This position is located at our Service Office in Haarlem. We work approx. 2 days from home and 3 in the office. This position does not offer mobility relocation package. The salary indication of this role gross a year including holiday and 13th month is between €64,366.20 and € 80,457.76 depending on experience and based on 38 hours contract.
