    A day in your life with us

    You lead and deliver expansion projects within the agreed timeframe, budget and quality standards are met in every project. You coach and develop your project team, collaborate across functions, and continuously improve how we work. You’re a connector and a doer, you lead by example.

    What else you will do:

    - Lead, develop and motivate the local project team. This means you're traveling throughout the Netherlands especially at certain stages of the projects.

    - Deliver project milestones within agreed timeline, budget and quality according to the project brief and following the IKEA Retail Establishment process.

    - Preparation of projects in the pre-project phase, budget estimation, cost management and implementation of large scale multi layered commercial rebuilds.

    - Identify, mitigate and manage risks before and during establishment projects.

    - Identiy, communicate and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders to maximize impact.

    You’ll be part of the Expansion team, responsible for developing and implementing the expansion plans for IKEA Netherlands. Our goal is to fully utilize the assets in the new world of IKEA. We act on business needs based on insights, optimize accessibility and ensure our retailing concepts are implemented in a cost-efficient and sustainable way. You’ll report to the Establishment Manager and work closely with colleagues and project managers across the Dutch IKEA organization.



    You’re a natural leader with a passion for project management and retail development. You thrive in a dynamic environment, love working with people and know how to get things done. As a person, you are able to direct efforts to achieve long-term business objectives; prioritize, delegate and make efficient decisions with speed and simplicity.

    What else you need:

    - Experience in retail or real estate project management and cost management skills.

    - Knowledge of financial tools and planning.

    - Good leadership and stakeholder skills, you know how to build trustful relationships with all stakeholders.

    - It’s preferred if you have an understanding of the IKEA Retail Expansion Process and business operations.

    - It’s preferred if you have experience in managing change in complex environments.

    - Strong presentation and communication skills in English. Dutch is not required but is preferred.

Start as a Project Manager Expansion for 38 hours per week based in Haarlem. The salaryrange for this job is between € 4459 and € 6.756 (excl vacation money and 13th month) always depending on our internal benchmark and your experience.

    - This job requires travel within the Netherlands, therefore a necessity car is available.

    - You will receive an 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These will be paid out in December and May as standard, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.

    - A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.

    - Travel expenses for public transport are reimbursed 100%. Do you live within a radius of 5 to 20 km from the IKEA store? Then you can also opt for a lease bicycle. Are you traveling by car? Then you will receive a travel allowance up to a maximum of 243 euros per month.

    - 15% employee discount at all IKEA stores in the Netherlands.

    - Meals at cost price in the co-worker restaurant.

    - Discount on your fitness subscription and sports at a gym of your choice.

    - A group discount on health insurance. No matter where you're insured, you'll receive the additional IKEA Inzetbaar module as a gift. This includes, among other things, 6 free physiotherapy sessions, support for reducing stress, and help maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
