We are looking for a Financial Controller to join us at IKEA service office in Haarlem. The role of Financial Controller is part of the new Country Financial Controlling & Tax team (accounting and controlling). The focus within this role is on the story behind the numbers and providing insights to the business. In this role, you will encourage cross-functional collaborations to better interpret results and add value to achieve set goals.
What you'll be doing day to day
'- Support in setting up and maintaining financial structures to track costs and performance and support decision-making in accordance with global frameworks.
- Work closely with various business partners to gain insights into costs and performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, led by Business Navigation, and ensure proper follow-up of costs and business cases.
- Work closely with local and/or centralized Accounting & Reporting Operations to ensure relevant, complete, accurate management reporting.
- Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group.
- Implement internal controls in the financial area and periodically test their existence and operation.
Our team within IKEA
Business Operations Transformation (BOT) within Finance and Procurement ensures the creation of a new IKEA. As part of BOT, we will simplify and standardize our way of working and implement new modern tools to meet new business requirements that help us minimize manual work, improve cost performance, ensure business continuity, and compliance.
You, together with the team, ensure that daily finance activities continue while the BOT project team implements.

Additionally:
- You have at least a bachelor's degree in Accounting & Control or a related field with 5 years of work experience (ACA/ACCA or a local equivalent is a plus).
- Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP, understanding of tax administration, statutory and regulatory reporting, and knowledge to support an audit process.
- Broad knowledge of financial and operational processes and tools (Power BI) for accounting and reporting, preferably within a multichannel retail organization.
- Good knowledge of project management processes, including methods and tools, and how to integrate them into daily work.
- Motivated to work agile, open to change, and apply learning to perform successfully under new circumstances.
- Able to create and implement change initiatives.
- Motivated to manage stakeholders to achieve goals in a changing environment.
- Confident in English & Dutch.

The role is part of CFO NL - Group Finance & Global Business Operations. This position is based in Haarlem, IKEA Service Office Netherlands. The role is for 32 - 40 hours per week. You will be reporting to the Country Financial Controlling & Tax Manager.
