    Do you want to be a part of the Biggest IKEA Small format in the World? We are seeking a Business Risk & Compliance Leader for our store located in the heart of Copenhagen.

    IKEA Copenhagen is IKEA Denmark’s first city store and one of three Customer Meeting Points in the greater Copenhagen area, where we bring IKEA closer to many people. With the IKEA Copenhagen city store, our goal is to provide a seamless omnichannel customer experience.

    The store offers a selected range of Home Furnishing accessories and small furniture items for immediate takeaway, and through strong inspiration, we show the width of our home furnishing offer that our customers can order with relevant services.

    Then maybe you are our new Business Risk & Compliance Leader in IKEA Copenhagen. You will be responsible for compliance with internal procedures with a focus on safety, both physically and operationally. You manage to navigate risk-oriented and communicate an overall risk assessment for the entire warehouse. You play an active role in ensuring that we are a safe warehouse, both for the benefit of our employees and customers. To succeed in the role, it is crucial that you can handle difficult situations and react actively to them, but even more importantly, that you work purposefully and proactively to avoid them occurring. Furthermore, it is important that you possess a high level of detail and good communication skills, which you actively use in your collaboration with others. You can motivate yourself through the tasks at hand. There will be routine work in connection with reports, but at the same time, an opportunity to influence your own everyday life. The job requires a high degree of independence, attention to detail, and drive.

    We imagine that you

    • Know the national statutory/legal requirements for safety in a workplace, safety guidelines, and regulations, and preferably have experience from a similar position.
    • Understand working in a matrix relationship and with globally described politicians and rules.
    • Can work with long-term strategic plans, which you manage to execute operationally and follow up.
    • Has experience with conflict management and stakeholder management.
    • Takes responsibility and has a sense of when something is urgent.
    • Is service-minded and focuses on the customer.
    • Can speak and write both Danish and English at a high level.

    What you'll be doing day to day

    As Business Risk & Compliance Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department store in Copenhagen always complies with applicable safety rules and internal procedures we have at IKEA, as well as Danish laws/standards. This means that it is also your responsibility to ensure that all employees understand and work in accordance with the applicable rules/procedures. You will be involved in tasks that require collaboration across different functions and departments, and it is, therefore, crucial that you communicate effectively and constructively, where you get people involved.

    Your primary tasks will be

    • Control of various security systems and follow-up of security procedures is adhered to.
    • Handling various issues regarding security.
    • Risk analysis and assessment of our business, new projects, and business plans.
    • Secure development of administrative as well as operational safety routines.
    • Training of managers and employees in safety procedures.

    Other information

    • This position is for an average of 37 hours pr. week on an individual contract.
    • Your working time will vary based on the business need, but with a large flexibility within the working week. You will have both evening and weekend work.
    • Salary within IKEA’s salary policy is based on your competencies and includes pension.
    • We have various staff benefits, including private health insurance, massage, staff canteen, staff discount, a discount club with external partners, a yearly gift, and a bonus.
    • We hope for a start-up on August 15, 2025 or asap.
