  • IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Food Production Operative to join our delightful and hardworking team.

    This contract is for 34 hours a week.

    As a Food Production Operative, you will support in producing our meals in our busy customer restaurant - including our meatballs and hot dishes! If you thrive in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, this role will allow you to experience our wonderful everyday.

    WHAT WE OFFER
    • Start date of employment will be 26 and 27 April. Planned interviews will be between 07 and 09 April.
    • Hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
    • This role is 34 hours a week, and will include working alternate weekends (1 on, 1 off). Availability to work through out the week, including in the evenings, is required.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
    • Prior kitchen and catering experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
    • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. You enjoy working in a busy role!
    • Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
    • Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
    • Due to health and safety regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
    • You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co-workers.
    • The kitchen is a safety-first, fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi-tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun.
    • Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way.
    • Following a cleaning schedule and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
