As a part of the Store Commercial & Interior team, you use your deep knowledge of people’s life at home and your high level of home furnishing competence to create many functional, beautiful and commercial solutions that are relevant to your local market.
You also challenge and encourage the many people to see their homes in new ways and help them to improve their everyday life at home.
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
• A higher education qualification in interior design or other suitable education, experience of working as an interior designer and preferably also as a manager • You are an inspiring and motivating leader, who can engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability • You challenge your team and yourself, in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers • A passion for Home Furnishing in a fast-paced, future -oriented retailing • Ability to identify and combine commercial, aesthetics and practical skills • Ability to move smoothly from assessing the big picture to seeing the small details • Good analytical and strategic skills • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
A day in your life with us
In this task, you lead and manage a team of Interior Design co-workers and specialists in Espoo store. In this role you inspire and challenge them to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation and home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas.
You are responsible for gathering and translating insights from Espoo customers into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectations and reflect home furnishing the IKEA way. Those solutions reflect a wide variety of styles, living situations and price levels that create a good tempo with distinct visual impressions.
As a manager your responsibility is to secure home furnishing solutions are executed with high quality, simplicity, cost-effectiveness and efficiency using global tools and best practices. We encourage you to also maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge about home furnishing, retailing and trends in order to support the business. Hopefully you have also ideas that are focused on growing the business and the competence of your team.
