  • Do you see possibilities where others see waste?
The Product Quality & Recovery department is the heart of sustainability in our store. Here, we give products a second life and reduce waste. We handle customer returns and damaged items, ensuring quality, repackaging, assembling, and repairing—so they can be resold in Gjenbruksbutikken.

We are now looking for a Product Quality & Recovery Manager for our IKEA store at Furuset in Oslo, Norway. As our Product Quality & Recovery Manager, you lead the department and share personnel responsibility with a team leader for 20 dedicated coworkers. Together, you play a key role in extending the life of our products and reducing costs.

    Your responsibilities

At IKEA, we see opportunities where others see challenges. As our Recovery Manager, you drive our work in sustainability and quality, ensuring products are given new life and create value for both customers and the planet.

    More specifically, you will:
    • Lead, inspire, and motivate your team to grow and develop
    • Create a culture of trust by encouraging open and honest dialogue
    • Provide training and learning opportunities
    • Improve customer experience with a sustainability mindset
    • Develop and execute a Recovery quality strategy aligned with store goals
    • Implement global initiatives and tailor them to local needs
    • Set clear objectives and continuously optimize processes

    Why should we choose you?

You are passionate about sustainability, see solutions where others see obstacles, and love collaborating to create great outcomes. You inspire, lead, and motivate—and you know that small actions can make a big difference.

We are looking for a leader with experience in people and change management—someone who takes initiative and thinks in new ways. You thrive on developing others and know that great results come from teamwork.

    We believe you:
    • Are a confident leader who builds strong teams and fosters engagement
    • Have excellent interpersonal skills and collaborate well across functions
    • Are proactive, solution-oriented, and motivate those around you
    • Work strategically with financial results and see solutions where others see challenges
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and have good English proficiency

Experience in Recovery or other sustainability work is a plus but not a must

    Application process
All applications must go through our recruitment portal.

    • Upload your CV and answer our questions (no need for a cover letter)
    • Attach any relevant documents (certificates, diplomas)
