YOUR PERSONALITY

We are searching for the communicator, enthusiastic about people’s home furnishing dreams who can easily find out what can engage IKEA stakeholders (media, influencers, coworkers). Your ambition will be to position IKEA in Slovak market as truly meaningful & trusted brand in people’s hearts & minds, with a focus on IKEA as a retailer with positive societal impact. This role is substitution for maternity leave, full time contract.


WE EXPECT FROM YOU 

• Enthusiastic communicator - excellent Slovak, proficient speaking and writing in English
• Great relation with journalists and medias in Slovakia
• Up-to-date knowledge of the media landscape (including the latest trends in Digital and Social media)
• Deep understanding of relevant business needs within the specific topic area (Home Furnishing, Sustainability, Employer Branding and Business) 
• Preparation of press releases, Q&A, press conferences, round tables
• Follow-ups and evaluation of communication activities

YOU WILL PRACTISE WITH US

• To be an IKEA communication expert in Slovakia and a direct contact for medias 
• Crisis communication & phone duty
• To ensure appropriate buy-in and prioritization of resources (internal, PR or/and event agencies)
• To plan, drive and implement communication project internally and externally
• Content preparation for Press releases, Q&A, Press conferences   
• To support our leaders and co-workers to become our best ambassadors and spokespersons
• Secure the process for country media product loans in the stores
• Identify local strategic opportunities, threats and trends to develop and implement IKEA and Ingka’s digital communications in line with global and regional guidelines
