  • Do you enjoy helping customers turn flatpack boxes into fully functioning furniture? We’re looking for a service-focused professional to handle inbound customer calls, listen carefully to each enquiry and provide clear, practical support. You’ll guide customers through technical issues, answer questions and resolve issues with diplomacy, efficiency and professionalism—helping turn frustrating experiences into positive outcomes.

    Due to IKEA Remote Customer Meeting Point location principles candidates are required to reside within 1-hour commutable distance of Peterborough RCMP and must have the ability to work from home. After successful completion of the training and probation periods you will move to a hybrid working arrangement working from home 4 days per week and 1 day from the office.

    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be 16th November 2026.
    • Full Time: 39 hours per week working 5 days out of 7, including late evenings and alternate weekends.
    • £27,276.60 per annum, this is made up of an hourly rate of £13.45

    Hours operations for this role are Monday-Saturday 7am-8:15pm and Sunday 7am-7:15pm. All shifts will be within these times.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Previous experience working directly with customers/ service users.
    • The ability to build good rapport with customers, demonstrate understanding and effectively use various communication channels.
    • Professionalism and the ability to maintain focus during times of stress.
    • Experience using IT Tools, with significant attention to detail.
    • Interest in learning and growing within a changing environment.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Engage with customers to resolve a variety of issues, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
    • Meet Contact Centre standards, KPIs, and desired service levels to deliver effective customer service.
    • Receive ongoing coaching to enhance your skills and ensure you consistently meet and delight our customers.
    • Work with Microsoft Office 365, Customer Resolution management and delivery systems.
