  • IKEA Peterborough CDC are looking to welcome a Warehouse Assistant working weekend only to join our hard-working fulfilment team.


    WHAT WE OFFER

    • Start Date of employment will be: 13th September 2025
    • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour with an additional Forklift Truck allowance of £1.50.
    • This is a weekend-only contract, working Saturdays and Sundays. Shifts will be rotational from either 06:00am – 14:00pm, 14:00pm – 22:00pm. 10 hour shifts available, to be discussed at assessment centre.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
    • The ability of staying on top of things—quick to prioritise, organised, and always tuned in to the little details that make a big difference.
    • Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
    • Due to health and safety regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Receiving goods with accuracy, picking and packing orders and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
    • Manual Handling of heavy stock. Training will be provided.
    • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
    • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for our co-workers.
