As EU PA Leader for Better Planet, you will ideally be/have the following:
• A degree in economics, law, politics, or similar • Knowledge of the EU’s policies related to climate, decarbonisation, renewable energy, zero-emission transport, last-mile delivery, forestry, etc. • Knowledge of how to develop and implement advocacy, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies by defining, planning, executing, and following up with relevant stakeholders (such as EU policymakers and NGOs), aligning with Ingka’s Global Public Affairs and Advocacy Plan • Knowledge of stakeholder mapping and understanding of stakeholder drivers within the key target audiences • The ability to communicate complex topics verbally, visually, and in writing in a clear, concise, and inspirational way adapting quickly to the IKEA tone of voice • The ability to link closely with the business reality • A clear drive to work for Ingka Group IKEA as a purpose-led organisation

Your responsibilities
• Provide passionate advocacy and leadership on Public Affairs topics on EU level with relevant Ingka Group stakeholders (internal and external) • Lead EU Public Affairs strategy and plans for assigned area and contribute to global Public Affairs strategy and activities on key assigned topics (Retail, People, Planet, Corporate), ensuring approach and content are aligned with other business strategies and directions in close collaboration with relevant senior business leaders, key stakeholders, functions, and other IKEA entities • Build and maintain partnerships and stakeholder networks, representing and advocating for Ingka Group in appropriate external and internal forums in line with our values and our advocacy principles • Lead EU foresight process and advice to senior internal stakeholders on relevant geopolitical trends, monitoring and keeping up to date on relevant regulatory and non-regulatory developments both at EU level and in collaboration with Ingka countries • Lead and develop approaches for influencing EU policy and regulation that impact Ingka Group, while contributing to create a positive policy and regulatory environment for the Ingka Group business • Develop, support and actively participate in the Ingka global and EU Public Affairs network, contributing with inputs and expertise and ensuring the appropriate tools and competence are continuously developed to enable and support Ingka countries • Responsible to develop tools, processes, and ways of working to secure Public Affairs impact in line with defined KPIs and goals • Lead, coach and develop spokespeople across Ingka Group, ensuring they have the right skills to communicate with impact and the appropriate narratives and messaging to support our EU topics • Where appropriate, help drive the development and execution of global 360-degree campaigns, in close collaboration with the Campaigns Unit, global Public Affairs and other business functions
