  • Who you are

Please note that this is a non-paid academic internship for students looking to complete the Program requirements.
The internship will commence in January or February with a minimum of 12 weeks.

You’re passionate about sustainability and committed to contributing to a fairer and more equal society through impactful business practices.

You’re detail-oriented and organized, with an interest in contractmanagement, stakeholder engagement, and ethical compliance.

You enjoy working independently and proactively, and you’re not afraid to ask questions or suggest improvements / ideas.

You’re a collaborative team player who enjoys connecting with colleagues across departments to gather insights and build strong working relationships.

You’re a clear communicator and enjoy crafting messages that resonate with different audiences.

You’re eager to learn and grow during a 12-week internship, with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Zaventem office. You’re also willing to visit our eight stores to gather information and meet stakeholders.

You speak English fluently (additional languages are a plus).

What you'll be doing day to day

Donation Contract Follow-Up: Support the tracking and coordination of donation agreements with external partners, ensuring timely execution and compliance.

Due Diligence Processes: Assist in reviewing and documenting social impact partnerships, helping ensure alignment with IKEA’s values and sustainability standards.

Sustainable Communication: Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. Communications, HR, Legal, Marketing) to develop and share impactful stories and updates about our social initiatives—both internally and externally.

Stakeholder Engagement: Map and analyze key stakeholders, and support cross-functional collaboration to strengthen our social impact strategy.

Content & Process Development: Help create routines, templates, and communication materials that support smooth operations and consistent messaging.

Some would call us idealists who want to change the world, but we are firm believers that we actually can have a positive impact on people, society and planet. We put our heads together to solve the big questions: how IKEA products can become circular by using material and resources in the best way, how to improve the lives of the people who create our products, and how IKEA can benefit the communities where we operate.

    Apply now!

If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge and help us drive sustainable social impact through strategic collaboration and communication, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and be part of our journey toward a better everyday life for the many people.
