IKEA Alexandra : Visual Merchandiser (One Year Contract)

Your assignment

• Use visual merchandising expertise to enhance IKEA’s unique identity through strong home furnishing solutions by working with store layout and impactful product presentations.
• Actively support and contribute to department goals by proposing initiatives that drive business growth, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement plans.
• Leverage knowledge of local market needs and aspirations to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable, and commercial product presentations that reflect a wide range of styles and price levels, meeting diverse tastes to inspire our visitors.
• Contribute to gathering insights on store layout and product presentation, translating this knowledge into relevant and inspiring store solutions that support a convenient shopping experience and reflect local home-living needs.
• Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retail, and trends to create impactful visual concepts that surprise and inspire visitors.
• Respect routines and responsibilities, working with various teams to act quickly on commercial opportunities and understanding the impact of actions on financial results.
• Ensure high-quality, efficient, and cost-conscious execution of planning and presentation solutions by aligning with national guidelines and applying proven practices.

Your profile

• Proficient in design and planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) to support store layout and visual merchandising solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in visual merchandising or store planning, with a strong background in home furnishing or retail environments.
• Deep understanding of retail merchandising techniques and home furnishing trends
• Strong visual eye with the ability to combine creativity and commercial thinking to create inspiring solutions
• Take ownership and initiative to deliver results aligned with commercial goals.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
