    About the job

    This role is responsible for overseeing all tenant interactions throughout the retail fit-out process, from initial design kick-off and drawing review to successful store opening. It leads fit-out activities for new development projects. It provides support for ongoing mall operations, ensuring effective coordination and seamless collaboration between the commercial leasing team, projects, and the centre management office team.

    Your assignment

    • The role will be based in Toppen Shopping Centre, Tebrau Johor Bahru
    • To oversee and ensure that all tenant fit-out contractors and designer follows the processes, timeline, and procedures that are in place from the construction stage until the successful store opening.
    • To ensure the Landlord Tenant MEP Provision are installed accordingly to the approved drawing submissions from consultants.
    • Initiate together with CMO Operation team and the consultant project team for inspections of newly developed retail shops during the projects until the successful opening of the projects.
    • Accountable for the overall renovation works are in accordance with the timeline and vacant possession date to/from the Landlord
    • Manage Tenant Coordination of the Project Development and initial Leasing phases, conducting Design Kick-Off Meeting briefing, Tenant design submission drawings for review, Centre House-rules, Work permits etc.
    • Lead the internal coordination and support interface between the Construction & Project Management team and the Shopping Centre Stakeholders Function involvement on Change Request Processes etc.
    • To prepare the Lease Outline Drawings (LODs) to provide tenants with more detail about context, orientation, and relevant adjacencies.
    • Ability to process technical drawings, knowledge in MEPF engineering for tenant detailed design submissions
    • Led the Tenant Drawings Development in reviewing Concept design submission, Detailed Design Architectural & MEP Submission, prior submission to Design Manager and Facilities Management
    • Validate design issues related to MEPF, Architectural Designs and suggest alternative solutions
    • Lead and support all handover forms, periodic inspection forms, FTI (Fast-Track Inspections), compilations of Permit to Work Documents, and assist in arranging safety briefings for contractors.
    • Manage and monitor TC’s weekly progress reporting to stakeholders' management.

    Qualification

    Your profile

    • 5–8 years’ experience in mall fit-out management, retail ID design, architecture, engineering, or project management. Preferably within a shopping centre environment. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project. 
    • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, reliability, and effective time management. 
    • Able to work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage confidential information with discretion. 
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
    • Familiarity with construction processes, building codes, and local authority or tenant requirements is an advantage.
