  • IKEA Preston, PR1 6QY, are looking to welcome Sales Specialist to join our team.

    At IKEA, you’ll engage with customers to understand their needs, create inspiring home‑furnishing solutions, and support them from showroom design to follow‑up communication for a seamless experience.


    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be: 24th May 2026.
    • Starting salary of £16,947.69 per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours of 24 a week). Full-time equivalent salary is ££27,540 per annum. Salary is based on competence and experience.
    • 24 hours weekly, working 4 days per week and 3 out of 4 weekends.
    • Working hours are between 8:45am to 8pm.
    • We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

    Kitchen training will take place in the Warrington IKEA, WA5 7TY, and travel cost will be covered by IKEA for this traininig.


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Experience in kitchen planning is advantageous, although not required, and you will be able to conduct sales discussions with ease.
    • Experience of working in a customer and commercial-oriented business, with an interest in people’s everyday life at home within their kitchen.
    • Confidence to take personal initiatives and be open to change, with the ability to both find solutions to complex problems and be able to communicate to the customer.
    • Confident in using computer design software.


    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON THE DAY TO DAY

    • You actively engage with our customers to identify their needs and how to inspire and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
    • Support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
    • Kitchen Planning & Designing for up to 2 hours with an additional follow up appointments to provide accurate plans, worktop and installation quotations for the customer.
    • Support with responding to the customer emails, securing payments both in store and remotely.
    • You will adopt a flexible approach to working, being part of a store team to take responsibility for all areas of the small store. This will include customer facing roles and warehouse duties.
    • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
