Ingvar Kamprad stated that you can’t do business on an empty stomach. He gave of the important task of strengthening the customer experience through food. Today IKEA Food is more than just a restaurant in the store. It's like a small store within the big store. A function that includes logistics, sales, customer service, food safety and financial result.
Being the Food manager you are responsible to lead the IKEA Food function towards success. You make sure your team can run the operation, and you plan for the long-term. You have a strategic role being a part of the management team for IKEA Linköping and play an important role in our market’s future. Ensuring that our customers visit the store, stays for longer and doing business with a happy and full stomach.

One of your strengths is setting clear ways of working, securing results and follow up on goals. The Food department is restrained by food safety, regulations, reviews and a strong IKEA concept. You are motivated by creating result and work with creativity within the frames. Daring to challenge and learn from mistakes along the way.
Pre-requisites for the role: It’s beneficial if you worked withing Retail or the restaurant business before. You are a skilled manager with experience in leading leaders. The most important thing is that you are passionate about food, sales and people. The rest you will learn. We see that it is necessary that you have worked in a complex and fast-paced environment before.
As Food manager you are responsible for the Food function in the store, consisting of our Restaurant, Bistro and Matbutiken. You are responsible for developing, coaching and inspiring our team to achieve success. We are 43 co-workers, of which 3 are leaders. You will have two department managers reporting to you.
In addition to personnel responsibility, you have full sales, budget and profit responsibility for your function. You are part of the IKEA Jönköping and Linköpings management team and are expected to contribute to the strategy for the entire IKEA in our market. At IKEA Food, you work closely with other functions in the store. Of course, you will also work closely with your immediate manager, Deputy Market Manager, Raphael Rocha and the national matrix organization for IKEA Food in Sweden.
