What you'll be doing day to day
As a Food Operations Manager, leading the IKEA Retail Food business, you will:



Act as an ambassador for the IKEA Brand when interacting with guests, giving them a compelling reason to come back.

Encourage and empower the IKEA Food team to promptly address guests’ needs and share ideas for ongoing improvement in our interactions with them.

Actively take part in crafting the IKEA Food business plan for your locations, integrating international and global priorities, and address local needs. Works with the IKEA Food management team to develop and implement an action plan to follow up on results.

Oversee the IKEA Food operating areas within the IKEA store in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements as well as local legislation. Promotes a “safety first” culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions.

Cooperate with external service providers and authorities when needed. Ensure that all food incidents, or potential incidents, are reported according to the IKEA U.S. Food Deviation and Incident Routine.

Ensure the IKEA Food team’s growth by providing consistent onboarding and ongoing training, understanding how their roles are impacted the IKEA Food Concept, commercial and operational knowledge and other key guidelines.

Oversee and improve IKEA’s KPI performance, policies, annual budget, hiring, scheduling, and performance management.



Adhere to the IKEA sustainability guidelines and collaborate with the IKEA Food team to take sustainable actions, including waste management and investments.

Oversee the implementation of, and ensure compliance with IKEA Administration Rules & Guidelines within IKEA Food.

Maximize commerciality in order to grow sales as well as the conversion rate.

Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

The hourly range for this role is $71,942- $104,315

QUALIFICATIONS
7 years related experience.

Experience in leading multi-unit high-volume food service operations in either Quick Service Restaurant or Casual Dining Segments.

Experience working and communicating with regulatory agencies and authorities.
The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 71,942 USD to 104,315 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
