    Additional Information:
    • These roles are Permanent Part-time, 50hrs/ fortnight
    • Applications close Tuesday 12 August, 2025
    • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

    About this work area

    As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Being an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by offering tailored solutions and answering questions related to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.
    • Actively approaching customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for their lifestyle and space.
    • Supporting customers throughout their kitchen design journey using our 3D kitchen planning software and accessory workshops, building strong and lasting relationships.
    • Following up with customers after their initial planning appointments through telephone or email, offering further advice, answering questions, and helping them move closer to their dream kitchen.
    • Ensuring the sales area is always stocked, well-presented, attractively merchandised, and correctly priced to create an inspiring shopping experience.
    • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments, contributing to a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive working environment.
    • Staying knowledgeable about in-store promotions, delivery options, product features, and benefits to better assist and inspire customers.



    As Sales Co-worker you are or have:
    • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the furniture, colour consulting or high-value items retail industry.
    • A passion for home furnishings and a keen eye for quality, maintaining a strong level of product knowledge and a love for sharing the IKEA range with customers.
    • A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable and positive shopping experience.
    • An authentic approach to generating sales, paired with a professional, self-motivated attitude towards achieving sales targets and KPIs.
    • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong problem-solving abilities to navigate customer needs.
    • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with your team.
    • Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn the technical aspects of the IKEA range and digital planning tools.
    • A safe and adaptable approach to physical tasks, including manual handling, repetitive movements, and lifting.
