Additional information: • These roles are Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/ fortnight • The internal job title for this role is Fulfilment Operations Team Leader • Applications close Wednesday 26 March, 2025 • This role requires availability to work Monday to Sunday 3am to 12am • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday). • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
About this work area
As Fulfilment Operations Team Leader your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Supporting the operation in both the main store location and the external warehouse • Managing and supporting the day-to-day operations, activities and co-workers of the Fulfilment Operations team including rostering, breaks, and ensuring KPIs are communicated and achieved. • Lead the Fulfilment Operations Co-workers in the assigned area of responsibility to secure the highest goods availability, operational readiness always at the lowest possible cost. • Take direct lead with identifying, recruiting, retaining, and developing the many talents in the Fulfilment Operations team, to secure a diverse, high performing team that can execute its assigned responsibilities with confidence and secure future people succession readiness. • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment throughout the store and secure that the Fulfilment Operations Co-workers work in compliance with IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation related to health, safety, security, and the environment. • Continuous improvement and securing effective, qualitative, and efficient daily Fulfilment Operations to guarantee a positive customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising and stock accuracy. • Create co-worker’s quality awareness to prevent and reduce damages, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects, and analyse existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet operational excellence.
As Fulfilment Operations Team Leader you are: • Passionate about ensuring we meet our customers in the best way and securing excellence in Fulfilment Operations, leading your team with a customer centric mindset. • Experience in leading teams in an operational function with proven record of successful leadership delivering both business results and people development. • Sound computer literacy and understanding of Microsoft Office suite/apps. • Exceptional communication skills, you are able to build relationships, collaborate and effectively influence and manage key stakeholders. • A forward thinker who works calmly under pressure, capable of making agile decisions and problem solving. • Comfortable working a mix of strategic, tactical, and operational tasks. You have the ability to manage high-volumes and enjoy working in a fast paced, vibrant, and changing omnichannel environment. • Good self-awareness and have a safety mindset, leading yourself and others, to provide a safe working environment, whilst delivering results.
