    To drive the transformation of Ingka into a more data-driven company by extracting and sharing insights from data that reinforce, alter, or largely impact present and future decisions on country performance and strategy, leading to a better experience for our customers . This role will also actively leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to automate and optimize business processes at a country level.

    • Good knowledge of data mining techniques, modern visualisation software, or relevant domain datasets and tools for analysing them .
    • Broad knowledge of data pre- processing techniques, e.g. how to handle missing data .
    • Broad understanding of how to leverage large datasets to improve decision-making in a business setting .
    • Broad experience in using SQL and the role it plays in data analysis as well as knowledge on relevant scripting languages (such as python) in notebook environments for sharing findings and code with others .
    • Good knowledge of probability and statistics, including hypothesis testing using controlled experiments (e.g. A/B testing) .
    • Basic understanding of collaborative software engineering practices (Agile, DevOps) .
    • Good knowledge of digital product development principles and the importance of rapid validated learning cycles
    • Good knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people .
    • AI/ML Concepts: Understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, Computer Vision, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
    • AI/ML Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with AI/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and cloud AI platforms (e.g., Google Cloud AI, AWS SageMaker).
    • MLOps and AI Ethics: Basic knowledge of MLOps for deployment and maintenance, and awareness of data ethics/governance in AI.

    • Ability to understand the complexity of our IKEA business and the role of Data & Analytics as an integrated part .

    • Good written and verbal communication skills, e.g. around storytelling supported by data visualisation, for a wide range of audiences .
    • AI Problem Solving: Ability to identify and solve business problems using AI/ML.
    • Model Lifecycle Management: Proficiency in building, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring AI models.
    • AI Data Prep: Skills in preparing data for AI/ML models.
    • Collaboration: Strong cross-functional collaboration for AI solution implementation.
    • Total Professional Experience: 3-7+ years in data analysis/science roles.
    • Formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in economics, engineering, natural sciences, or equivalent .
    • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, (Junior) Data/Web Analyst or (Junior) Data Scientist .
    • Good knowledge of data processing for large datasets .
    • Preferred: Experience with presenting to large audiences and senior stakeholders .
    • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud computing environments, e.g. Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform .
    • Preferred: Experience with digital product development in a retail setting .
    • AI/ML Project Experience: 1-3+ years, including end-to-end AI/ML project development and deployment, particularly for process automation.
    • Practical experience with major cloud AI platforms

    Your responsibilities

    Drive the transformation of Ingka into a more data driven company by extracting and sharing insights from data that reinforce, alter, or largely impact present and future decisions on country performance and strategy, leading to a better experience for our customers.

    • Ensure, promote and take responsibility for informed decision-making based on data in order to improve business performance.
    • Conduct advanced data exploration and analysis using modern data mining techniques, visualisation tools, or a combination thereof, to provide insights that help co-workers and stakeholders make better decisions
    • Evaluate the potential and usability of pre-processed, structured internal and external data sources for use in product analytics and data-driven decision-making in general
    • Write demanding SQL queries that Extract, Transform and Load data from storage to an appropriate format, using joins, nesting and similar operations as an integral component of data processing pipelines
    • Ensure that solutions fulfil and adapt to actual business needs by data story telling to continuously generate value for Ingka by working side by side with co-workers from different functions
    • Design, develop, and implement AI/ML solutions to automate and optimize key business processes at a country level.
