    Job description

    IKEA Services India is one of the Supply Areas for IKEA, which represent South Asia Region comprising of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates (Supply Area South Asia-SASA). SASA has a rich history of sourcing from the South Asia region for more than four decades. Over these years, we have brought in many processes and best practices that have improved the way we work with our business partners. Transformation of textile, carpet industry and recycle plastic industry are a few such examples. This partnership with suppliers has helped to continuously grow our sourcing operations.

    As a People & Culture Generalist, your role will be to establish IKEA as the preferred employer by attracting those who share the IKEA values, ensuring development for all co-workers, inspiring them to perform and grow with IKEA by:

    • Working in partnership with the business staff functions
    • Ensuring the appropriate HR processes and tools are implemented
    • Actively contributing to the growth of business through people

    In this role as a P&C Generalist, you will mainly contribute to: Mobility and Business Partnering, in addition to other people topics. 

    As P&C Generalist, your main tasks are:

    • Support in attracting, recruiting and maintaining talents based on business needs and facilitating competence flow inside and cross business units
    • Contribute to build business competence and leadership development by supporting managers and co-workers according to agreed development plans
    • Provide support to co-workers and managers that helps building competence and facilitate career paths and succession planning
    • Manage all aspects of relocation and immigration, including visas, assignments, and family support, to ensure smooth global transitions.
    • To be the local HR speaking partner for one or more business units and work in partnership with relevant global HR partners, supporting implementation of competence part of the relevant global plans.
      Contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the HR action plan
    • Contribute to the positioning of IKEA as an attractive place to work and the preferred employer in the relevant market
    • Responsible for execution of administration connected to People & HR digital tools.
    • Act as a cultural role model in ways that demonstrate the IKEA values

    Qualification

      To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

      • 5-10 years experience with HR knowledge in one or several HR topics, preferably who has worked as HR Generalist, Specialist or Business Partner
      • 2+ years of experience in mobility & immigration processes
      • Knowledge of global immigration laws and relocation practices
      • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences in English, both verbally and in writing.
      • Sound knowledge in leading on an operational level and contributing on a tactical level.
      • Ability to build trust and relationships through good
      • Communication and documentation skills
      • Ability to coach and transfer knowledge
      • Ability to support and enable change

      In addition to Mobility, it’s a plus if you also have core experience in any/both of the areas below: 

      • Recruitment & Sourcing, Employer Branding 
      • Learning and development
      • Compliance with Office policy, Labour law and Regulations
