    You are a creative and inspiring leader with a passion for home furnishing, design, and how people live at home. You have a strong eye for aesthetics, enjoy leading creative processes, and are skilled at transforming ideas into engaging visual experiences that inspire customers. You love working in a fast-paced retail environment and are motivated by developing people and bringing ideas to life through collaboration.
    You have:
    • A design-based education and significant experience working as a visual merchandiser.
    • Proven experience in managing and leading creative teams and processes.
    • A deep understanding of visual merchandising, store layout, and range presentation the IKEA way.
    • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to set direction and follow up on goals.
    • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to translate insights into commercial visual solutions.
    • Proficiency in relevant design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and good command of English

    Your responsibilities

    As a Visual Merchandising/Activity Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers to create inspiring and commercial range presentation solutions that enhance the IKEA shopping experience.
    You will:
    • Lead, inspire, and challenge your team to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity through range presentation solutions.
    • Translate insights about life at home and local market needs into relevant and inspiring visual merchandising activities.
    • Ensure a strong visual impact in the store that surprises visitors and converts them into customers.
    • Drive vitality by creating an ever-changing store environment that encourages repeat visits.
    • Support the Com&In Manager in implementing the department action plan and commercial calendar.
    • Recruit, train, and develop co-workers to build competence and succession within the team.
    • Stay updated on home furnishing trends and retail developments to bring fresh ideas to the store.
    • Actively collaborate with other functions to ensure seamless execution and commercial success.

    The Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) team is responsible for ensuring that the IKEA store communicates the uniqueness of the IKEA Brand and inspires people to create a better everyday life at home. Together, we create a welcoming and inspiring store experience that makes it easy for customers to shop and fall in love with the IKEA range.
