    It is the responsibility of the Market function at IKEA Components to be the one point of entry and to meet with the buyers who purchase components, materials from us. In the meeting with the buyers, it is the responsibility of Market to manage, develop and improve the buyers purchase of components and materials, in order to reduce total cost of IKEA furniture, secure availability, sustainability and the right quality. It is also the responsibility of the Market function to collect demands, needs and expectations from the market and provide IKEA Components with this market knowledge.


    Job description

    We are now looking for a Market Developer, who will contribute to total IKEA business through developing relations and market activities with IKEA suppliers in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

    Your main responsibilities as Market Developer are:

    • Building close business partnership with IKEA suppliers and IKEA Purchasing Development teams.
    • Securing the best buy for buyers and continuously developing the offer
    • Collecting demands, needs and expectations and providing market knowledge
    • Being responsible for development of market activities
    • Creating network and securing common agenda with relevant internal stakeholders in order to develop the business, maximize IKEA benefit and achieve our goals
    • Leading the offer process based on the collected demands, needs and expectations from buyers
    • Monitoring competitors on the market to secure competitiveness

    Qualification

    We want you, because:

    • You have minimum 3 years working experience in market or sales development, preferable in a multinational environment
    • You have excellent skills in working with the price set up in Supply Chain
    • You are knowledgeable in economics and finance.
    • You have excellent communication skills, you can build and maintain business relations perfectly
    • You have basic technical knowledge about furniture components and materials
    • You are flexible, and you can deal with various situations
    • You have great convincing skills, you are assertive type of a person
    • You speak English fluently
    • You have capability to see things in a holistic view
    • You are energetic and dynamic personality
    • You are passionate about people and leading the business

    Sound interesting?

    The position is placed in Ho Chi Minh office. While you will mainly work with co-workers in our Ho Chi Minh City office, you will sometimes work in close cooperation with your peers at our offices in China (Shenzhen), and Indonesia. You will report to the market manager in China (Shenzhen).
