    • Ability to work with information platforms such as FactSet, Capital IQ, CB Insights, Bloomberg and Pitchbook.

And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values!

Please note: we can only consider applications from registered students in The Netherlands who are authorised to work in The Netherlands. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any relocation or work permit support for this position.

    Your responsibilities

As part of IKEA’s “People & Planet Positive strategy”, Ingka aims to transform into a 100% circular business by 2030. When products’ life at home ends, Circular Investments begins. By investing in recycling and waste technology companies, the Circular Investments portfolio is a key enabler for this transition whilst delivering strong financial returns.

Today, the Circular Investments portfolio consists of five companies. We have a dedicated pool of capital and clear mandate: investing in businesses that can help us tackle embedded economic inefficiencies and reduce our carbon footprint.

To support our investment mandate and deal flow, we are looking to recruit a working student to our seven-person team. We consider this role as a fantastic learning opportunity and steppingstone into the private equity industry, with ample opportunity to receive personal mentorship from and establish long-lasting connections with seasoned investment professionals.

You will support the team in their day-to-day responsibilities and be actively involved in the development of our portfolio.

    Research and Analysis:

    - Conduct research on companies and industries within the circular economy space.
    - Analyse market trends, competitors, and investment opportunities.
    - Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations.

    Deal Support:

    - Provide support in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
    - Assist with financial analysis, including modeling and valuation.
    - Support due diligence efforts, including data gathering and analysis.

    Portfolio Management:

    - Assist in monitoring and tracking portfolio performance.
    - Support the preparation of performance reports and presentations.

    Administrative Support:

    - Provide general administrative support to the investment team.
    - Assist with scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and other tasks as needed.
