    • IKEA Nottingham are looking to welcome Sales Assistants to join our team.

    At IKEA Nottingham, we’re looking for enthusiastic Sales Assistants who love helping people create a better life at home. If you're curious about our products, passionate about great design, and always ready to roll up your sleeves (sometimes literally—there’s a bit of lifting involved!), then you might just be the perfect fit for our team.     Due to health & safety this role requires you to be 18 years or older.

    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be: 6th July
    • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
    • 8 hours weekly weekend only
    • 12 & 16 hours weekly working up to 4 days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends per month.
    • Working hours are between 8am and 9:30pm (Sunday 9am to 6pm).
    • We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.
    • You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
    • You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and actively engage with your daily tasks.
    • You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.
    • Efficient, results-driven, and highly organized.
    • Proficient with IT equipment.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
    • You are always enthusiastic about the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design
    • You support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting, safely.
    • Manual handling safely and the use of pump trucks & ladders.
