  • In the Product Quality and Recovery department, we deliver sustainable, growth. We do so in new, unique and inspiring meetings with our customers. The Product Quality & Recovery co-worker gives IKEA products a second life. In this way, you contribute to sustainability by preventing the waste of raw materials. You are working on product quality for customers and the shopping experience in the Second Chance Corner. We are looking for someone willing to work between 16 to 32 hours a week for 3 months.

    A day in your life with us

    You decide how to give products a second life. You do this through a well-stocked commercial Second Chance corner. You repackage products so that they can be sold as new again. Managing spare parts that we use to repair and complete products also prevents waste.

    What else you will do: 

    - Always consider sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.

    - Represents Product Recovery, Quality and product safety awareness in the store.

    - Support and perform Product Quality and product safety tasks in the store to improve the customers' quality perception of our IKEA products.

It is a dynamic department and therefore it is important that you always strive to achieve goals with high energy and motivation also you have a strong interest in selling and what is best for IKEA customers. You are an ambassador for the IKEA culture and values, especially cost-consciousness, care for people and the environment and simplicity.

    What else you need: 

    - Good knowledge of the IKEA product range.

    - Good understanding of merchandising techniques and how to create a commercially attractive Tweedekanshoek offer.

    - Good knowledge of the use of IT systems and other tools in daily operations.

    - Good knowledge of functional areas within the IKEA unit and how they contribute to Product Recovery, Quality and safety processes.

    - Motivation to work evenings and weekends as well

    Whatever we are doing today, we will do a little better tomorrow. If we work together we can care for people and planet. And IKEA will take good care of you too. Start as Product Quality & Recovery Co-Worker and receive an all-in (incl vacation money and 13th month) of €17,25 per hour.

    - A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These will be paid out in December and May as standard, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.

    - A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.

    - Travel expenses for public transport are reimbursed 100%. Do you live within a radius of 5 to 20 km from the IKEA store? Then you can also opt for a lease bicycle. Are you traveling by car? Then you will receive a travel allowance up to a maximum of 200 euros per month.

    - 15% employee discount at all IKEA stores in the Netherlands.

    - Various arrangements that suit your personal situation. Think of transition leave and equal (100% paid) birth leave regardless of the composition of your family. You may also exchange the public holidays applicable in the Netherlands with non-Christian holidays. And every store has a quiet/prayer room.
