  • Who you are

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN INGKA INVESTMENTS (IKEA)

At Ingka Investments (Part of Ingka Group – the largest owner and operator of IKEA Retail) we strongly believe that we can help people and the planet while creating an affordable and better everyday life for the many people. We are on an exciting journey to increase our data-driven maturity, which includes the development of a cutting-edge Data & Analytics platform (Azure/Databricks) and Data & Analytics products to deliver value to the business.

As a (Senior) Data Analyst, you play a key role in guiding the organization on how to make the best use of data-driven insights. With a growth mindset, you take ownership, enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and build a strong network across our diverse organization. You stay close to stakeholders and focus on what the insights mean for them, translating findings into clear, actionable decisions that create real impact.

To be successful as a Data Analyst you need to have:

    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Good knowledge of data mining techniques, modern visualization software (e.g. PowerBI), or relevant datasets and tools for analyzing them.
    • Proficient in designing and optimizing data models that improve data quality, performance, and maintainability.
    • Solid understanding of how to turn complex datasets into actionable insights that improve business decision-making.
    • You have a passion for the possibilities of data and the value it can generate for our business.
    • You are motivated by continuously developing and enhancing communication skills and technical expertise.
    • You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.

You also recognize yourself in some of the following:

    • Ability to understand the complexity of Ingka Investments and ability to work in the role of Data & Analytics as an integrated part.
    • Passionate about financial and investment data with industry experience.
    • Ability to perform work with a balanced trade-off between care and speed, and to understand that rapid insights may come at an initial cost of rigorousness.
    • Ability to turn data into insights with a compelling narrative on risk–benefit analysis.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills, e.g. around storytelling supported by data visualization, for a wide range of audiences.

    Your responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, you will ensure, promote, and take responsibility for informed decision-making based on data to improve business performance. You work closely with co-workers and stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

You will analyze business needs and identify opportunities to leverage internal and external data sources across Ingka Investments portfolios. A key part of your role is contributing to the development of reusable data products - well-defined, governed datasets designed to serve multiple use cases - and translating them into analytics products that drive decisions. You will design and optimize data models to ensure performance and maintainability and create compelling visualizations using modern visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI). Your toolkit includes SQL (joins, nesting and common table expressions), Python for scripting and statistical analysis, and dbt for data transformation workflows. You will work within our Azure/Databricks environment, applying Agile practices and DevOps principles (version control, CI/CD) to deliver robust, maintainable solutions.
