    • Educational qualification in Interior/Industrial Design or a related field.
    • Work experience as a Senior Retail Shop Designer or Visual Merchandiser.
    • Proficient knowledge of using layout as a commercial tool.
    • Ability to combine and apply commercial, aesthetic and practical skills in the IKEA way.
    • Passion for sharing knowledge and experience, and inspiring others.
    • Strong understanding of working in a fast-paced retail environment and up-to-date retail trends.
    • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD as an advanced user within the team.

    Your responsibilities

    • Inspire and coach the HF&RD team to develop shop design competence in layout as a commercial tool, and deliver strong and bold range presentations that strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity and exceed customer expectations.
    • Actively participate in planning and implementation with HF&RD co-workers to secure a high level of visual quality by setting strong examples and standards.
    • Actively support the development of the department action plan through shop design initiatives focused on business growth, and execute agreed plans with the HF&RD team and other functions.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of home furnishing, retailing and trends to support the HF&RD manager in creative workshops, generating inspiring directions that create strong visual impressions for visitors.
    • Actively seek to simplify working methods, processes and explore new ways of working.
    • Plan and execute external activities that contribute to the business from an omnichannel perspective.
    • Collaborate with the Country Shop Design Leader as a matrix partner to ensure alignment with national and global directions and movements.
