    IKEA Industry Malacky Site is one of the key manufacturing locations within IKEA Industry and plays a vital role in supporting the IKEA vision of creating a better everyday life for many people. Located in western Slovakia, the Malacky Site is a strategically positioned and dynamic production hub with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

    The site consists of three core production units:

    The Board production unit is dedicated to the manufacturing of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable wood-based boards and panels. These boards form the foundation for many IKEA furniture products and are developed with a focus on resource efficiency, durability, and environmental responsibility.

    The High Gloss furniture production unit specializes in producing high gloss furniture, with a particular emphasis on bathroom solutions. This unit combines advanced surface technology with precise craftsmanship to deliver modern, stylish, and functional furniture that meets the aesthetic and practical needs of today’s customers.

    The MBK Production unit is a state-of-the-art, innovative facility focused on producing one of IKEA’s most iconic and beloved products – the BILLY bookcase. Some 11 million pieces of the KOMPLEMENT shelves is expected to reach customers yearly from this unit. This modern factory is designed for high-volume, high-efficiency production while maintaining exceptional quality standards and flexibility to adapt to evolving customer expectations.

    Job description

    As People & Culture function we want to be relevant and to truly contribute and add value to the business development in a fast changing and challenging world. This we do by attracting, recruiting and developing people who love to fulfil our vision, by enabling a foundation for a great people experience and by enabling people to lead based on our culture and values.

    As our new P&C Manager you will lead the people & culture agenda in the business dimension by translating IKEA People Strategy into actions in the business unit to fulfil business needs for today and tomorrow and securing we have the right competence in the right time and right place as well as securing excellent co-worker experience in operational dimensions.

    The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a proven leader with a track record of building and maintaining a positive workplace culture. You will be leading the People & Culture team of 10 professionals including development activities and be responsible for all personnel operations for more than 800 employees in our 3 units.

    Responsibilities and duties:

    • Be a great example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA, and together with the management team help to safeguard and promote the IKEA Culture
    • Lead and develop People and Culture team
    • Plan, develop and implement P&C strategies and initiatives that align with IKEA Industry’s business objectives and values.
    • Serve as a liaison between management and co-workers to address demands, grievances, and other issues effectively.
    • Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure we attract and retain top talent based on Ikea values and company needs.
    • Support the current and future business needs through workforce planning, development, engagement, motivation, and retention programs.
    • Design and monitor P&C systems and procedures including payroll agenda that perfectly fit IKEA Industry’s unique needs.
    • Implement and analyze employee surveys and assist functions in translating results into actionable improvement plans.
    • Manage employee performance and provide accurate training and development programs across the organization.
    • Drive P&C projects (e.g. digitalization of P&C processes).
    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and P&C best practices, maintaining the company´s reputation as a responsible employer.
    • Manage and improve employee benefit programs.
    • Be accountable for the execution of all administrative tasks relevant to the personnel management of employees.

    Qualification
    • University degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.
    • Proven working experience as P&C Manager or another P&C Executive.          
    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
    • In-depth knowledge of Slovakian labor law and P&C best practices.
    • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
    • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in both Slovak and English, written and spoken.
    • Experience from manufacturing/ production organizations
    • Knowledge of P&C systems (Workday, Smartrecruiter, Softip) and databases relevant to IKEA Industry operations is an advantage.
