  • Who you are

We are looking for a Group Internal Audit Leader to bring expertise, leadership, and strategic insights. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive impactful improvements, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to Ingka Group’s objectives. Group Internal Audit empowers our businesses to enhance performance and explore opportunities while safeguarding our people, customers, assets, and the IKEA brand.

    About you

You are results-driven with the ability to influence senior leaders and demonstrate strong leadership skills. You have analytical and critical thinking abilities that are complemented by high standards of personal integrity and ethics. You build trustful and collaborative relationships throughout the organisation and communicate effectively across all levels.

You challenge the status quo, pushing boundaries to create meaningful impact. Organised and detail-oriented, you possess solid methodological skills. Your strong problem-solving abilities, proactive approach, and can-do attitude enable you to take initiative and deliver results. You work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

    Minimum requirements:
    • Extensive experience in internal and/or external auditing, risk management, internal controls, and compliance within an international environment, with a proven track record of driving improvements.
    • In-depth knowledge of global internal audit standards. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification is highly valued.
    • Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
    • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to describe complex issues simply and comprehensively.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant audit and data analytics tools. And, of course, a genuine interest in home furnishing.

    Your responsibilities

    You will be:

    - Take on a group-level role with oversight across all Ingka businesses, ensuring alignment with the company’s global objectives.
    - Lead the end-to-end execution of internal audit assignments focused on Ingka’s most strategic risks — including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
    - Assemble and lead high-performing audit teams, drawing on both internal expertise and external resources as needed.
    - Contribute to the development and refinement of the annual internal audit plan, ensuring it is strategically aligned with Ingka’s priorities and transformation journey.
    - Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Audit function to enhance audit effectiveness, efficiency, and stakeholder value.

    Together as a team

We are a dynamic group of friendly challengers. We are curious, open-minded, and ambassadors of the IKEA values. We believe that our work is not just about auditing, but also about learning, developing, and having fun.

You will be based in Malmö and report to the Group Internal Audit Manager.

Your application, written in English and consisting of a cover letter and CV, should be registered online no later than the 17th of June. Please note that behavioural and cognitive assessments will be part of the recruitment process, as well as a background check for our final candidate.
