    • Higher education in visual merchandising, industrial design or art

    Your responsibilities

    Trained in design creative person with a passion for home furnishings. You must have the proven ability to create, follow and implement design solutions.
    - Ability to visualize, draw and present an idea.
    - experienced in computer aided drafting (Revit, AutoCAD).
    Able to create dimensioned layouts, elevations and carpentry specifications
    - ability to verbally communicate your ideas and solutions

    P.S.  In the IKEA world, this position is officially referred to as Visual Merchandising Co-worker.

    This is an active and physically demanding role working hands-on daily to implement display solutions, which requires you to be on the sales floor walking, lifting and bending, using tools and climbing ladders and stairs.
    using basic construction tools ex. power drill, screw driver, hammer and level, measuring tape...etc
    Feels comfortable and able to work (stand, lift, drill, measure) on 6 -10ft high ladders (some days up to 50% of the time)
    Able to lift or move weight up to 50lbs
    Wear safety equipment (i.e. reflective vest and steel toe boots)
    The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 49,120 CAD to 67,540 CAD and will be based on relevant work experience.
