Who you are

This position is a temporary assignment with a set duration, lasting until January 31, 2025. Please note that employment in this role will be limited to this period, after which the assignment will conclude.

Further, you are passionate about discovering new ways to engage with media (both paid and owned) and bring stories to life.
For this role we believe you have minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing / Brand Management as well as minimum 5 years of experience in leading and influencing co-workers and teams. You have experience in retail, preferably home furnishing sector, as well as experience in planning, driving output and measuring performance (business and people).
You have deep knowledge of Marketing Communication strategy in Retail as well as of the Marketing creative and production process.
You have ability to understand the complexity of IKEA as a omnichannel business and the role of Marketing as an integrated part of this business. You have good leadership capabilities including ability to lead peers and stakeholders while communicating in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice combined with strong interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you have ability to evaluate great communication as well as to plan and execute communications campaigns through multiple channels. You have the ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning process and performance moving forward.
You have experience in working with both media and creative agencies in an integrated way.
You have a good knowledge of digital media platforms/channels and you are eager to test and learn new channels in a constantly changing media landscape.

Your responsibilities

In the role of Marketing Communications Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing comprehensive Marketing Communication plans that effectively promote our brand, products and services. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of marketing principles.
You will:
• Act as a member of the Marketing Management team and proactively contribute to marketing strategy/plan in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals. Work in close collaboration with the Intergrated Media Manager and the Customer and Loyalty Manager to achieve these common objectives by developing integrated multichannel executions.
• Contribute to the Marketing Strategy & Planning, working on implementing our new positioning.
• Create, adapt and manage content for various marketing channels, including social media, email, website .... Secure the red thread of all marketing communication consistently across channels
• Contribute to the integrated process for marketing communication development by proactively working with Communications team (PR), to secure one voice in the market, and maximize the business and consumer impact
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the campaigns and adjust strategies as needed
• Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact
• Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values
• Support all initiatives within and outside marketing (f.ex. Employer Branding, Solar Panels, ...)
• Set up efficient procedures and WOW, both internally & with external partners, in order to optimize efficiency.

In this role you will report to the Marketing Manager.

This role is located in Zaventem.
