Are you a master of turning returns into treasures? Join our team as a Product Recovery Assistant and transform returned and ex-display IKEA products into irresistible deals! Work closely with our dynamic team to ensure top-notch quality and safety, all while keeping our customers delighted. If you have a knack for repurposing and a passion for perfection, we want you!


WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 23rd February 2025
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
• Part Time: 16-20 hours, working 4 days per week including evening and 3 out of 4 weekends.
• Full Time: 39 hours, working 5 days a week including late evenings and alternate weekends.
• Full Time: 39 hours, working fixed shifts 5 nights a week from 11:30pm to 8am, Monday to Friday.
• Nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour applies for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

Please be aware that the IKEA Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• A positive approach to waste management and sustainability, love multi-tasking, and a passion for giving things a new life.
• Have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You are motivated to problem solve and use your own initiative daily. You are enthusiastic about being part of the team but also can work without supervision.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Re-purpose, present and sell IKEA products with pride, and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the business.
• Work closely with the different functions in the unit to ensure that common working routines and processes are followed related to product quality, safety and recovery.
• Support and action the product quality guidelines for recalled, returned and ex-display stock, to constantly improve customers’ perception of our IKEA products.
• Repacking, you will work items that have damaged packaging to return them to a sellable condition, supporting product availability for customers and reducing losses for the store.
• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
