    The Communication function in Core business Range has the assignment to lead, develop and enable impactful communication that strengthens the IKEA brand, create engagement, build trust and enable better business.

    We are now looking for a Communication Manager for Range Strategy & Identity!

    The Range Strategy and Identity function have the task to define, lead, and develop the Range & Communication strategy and the long-term home furnishing product range foundation. To set the direction for the identity of our future product range offer to enable growth and positioning and to secure the IKEA business idea to come alive.


    Job description

    As Communication Manager in Range Strategy and Identity, you are responsible for creating clarity, engagement and energy around some of our most important strategic business topics, through the power of communication. Short term as well as long term. In our current portfolio you will find a number of initiatives aimed at evolving and strengthening the complete home furnishing product range offer, Democratic Design, Collections, Product Range Identity and Design through the IKEA unique lens to create a better everyday life for the many people.

    In this assignment you will set the preconditions for the organisation to be able to act and enable a close collaboration with stakeholders across IKEA of Sweden and the IKEA Value Chain as a part of the bigger IKEA communication agenda. Another important part will be to define the needed communication structures and flows.

    You will be a member of both the Communication Managers team and the Range Strategy & Identity management team and work in close partnership with the Communication Manager in Range and the Range Strategy & Identity Manager. You will play an important part in creating co-worker engagement in the Range Strategy & Identity function. You will lead communication together with a team of 5 direct reporting communicators and in collaboration with the network of communicators across Range. You will report to the Communication manager in Range.


    Qualification

    The Communication Manager has high seniority and:  

    • is an experienced leader and can engage, delegate and lead through others, both network based and direct leadership

    • has extensive experience in planning, creating and executing impactful communication. 

    • has deep understanding of the core of the Range assignment, as well as business and communication needs 

    • is very curious and solution-oriented, with ability to create engagement and build trustful relationships with various stakeholders, a strong networker and collaborator. 

    • is a self-starter, action-oriented and capable of navigating and leading questions forward in a complex and fast paced environment, and positively influence ideas that will grow IKEA. 

    • enjoys working at a fast pace in an optimistic and future-oriented, continuously developing organisation, having a strong ability to adapt to change and navigate complexities and finding new ways.  

    • has a large capacity and ability to move between and act on strategic, tactical and operational tasks and contexts. 

    • is a very strong and creative communicator with the ability to move business questions and create impact through communication, simplify complexities and represent IKEA in all dimensions. You have a deep connection to what is typically IKEA and a strong sense for IKEA visual identity, tone of voice and what good looks like.
