We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.

Job description

As a Functional Specialist, you will ensure that users of our digital tools have access to relevant, user-friendly, and reliable applications that support their business objectives. You will bridge the gap between business needs and development teams with your specialist knowledge of our digital products. Your deep understanding of both business and end-user requirements, combined with a general knowledge of digital tool development, will be essential in this role.
This role will involve contributing to business development activities across your areas of expertise, but also allowing for continuous learning and growth. Additionally, you will lead and mentor the support team, ensuring quality support for end users through education and coaching.
In Supply Chain Planning Development, Functional Specialists are our domain experts who acts as the link between business needs and technology development! You ensure that digital products are user-friendly, relevant, and aligned with business goals, and are driving and contributing in business development, lifecycle management, daily operations, and enhancements. In your everyday worklife you address tactical and operational needs within specific applications, driving domain-specific requirements and end-user engagement – all the time together with the development team and in contact with the end-users!
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Responsible for the delivery of the assigned applications including business development according to Digital Product priorities, release management, life cycle management and the operation (run) of the applications, business continuity and business support. Contribute to continuous improvement of the applications.
- Contributes to key stakeholder management and expectations through strong relationships. Interact with process and business functions, user community, application management and software suppliers, Service Operations, Architecture and other relevant functions for applications performance improvement.
- Responsible for applications compliance with rules and standards, legal/regulatory requirements as well as adherence to relevant delivery process standards.
- In co-operation with the product team and relevant business functions, develop and secure established ways of working for the applications, relevant learning and communication for the applications.
Qualification
We are looking for an experienced person with a strong capability to understand both the end-to-end process, the technical requirements and have a very good knowledge of the business context in Supply Chain Development. You do not hesitate to try out new ways and adapt and improve how we work and deliver to IKEA. We see that you have the ability to prioritize, take initiative and move needed development in the backlog. With your strong business mindset and build trustful relationships while both collaborating and challenging stakeholders to determine what is relevant.
- To be successful in this role you are interested in the rapid digital developments in the world around us in general, and within your area of work in specific. You have an open mindset and you are eager to stay on top of the latest in your field. This will help you to adapt smoothly to for example architectural changes, evolving roadmaps, and new business developments that can help you create even more value for your end-users!
- We work in an agile way, so it will be beneficial for you to have experience of how agile digital development could be done and how a high performing digital product team works. We are all on a journey to constantly develop both as agile teams and as persons, so no worries if you have just started your own agile journey, we will find a good way forward together!
- Furthermore, we believe you are an analytic person with the ability to interpret facts, make analysis and explain needed development in a simple and straightforward way. You have strong communication skills and contributes to the team dynamics with your personality, openness and social skills.
- You have experience from working with backlogs and leading the work to write stories and structure backlogs in an efficient way, for example as solution owner or similar role.
