Älmhult is the heart of IKEA and our range development- and we want you, together with your colleagues, to take the lead in making IKEA Älmhult market the storefront for IKEA range presentation.

    IKEA Älmhult is now looking for a Visual Merchandiser. Maybe you're the one we're looking for?

    Who you are

    You have a passion for home furnishing, trends, and people's life at home. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where togetherness and collaboration is at the core. To truly thrive in this role, you must love hands-on work in all our customer areas. Everything from putting rugs on the floor to climbing on ladders or lifts to adjusting the commercial light. Of course, you will need some time in front of a computer, to draw and plan, but practical work will dominate.

    You have an eye for details and do not settle for an average result. Effectiveness is your way of living that helps you to organize yourself on a daily basis. You as a person share our love for the customer meeting and always put the customer first.

    For this role we’re looking for an in-role/senior who has previous experience working as a Visual Merchandiser.

    Furthermore:
    • You have a flexible approach as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.
    • You have good knowledge of layout as a commercial tool
    • You are confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations.
    • You have an educational background in visual merchandising, shop design, art, or architecture.
    • You are familiar with working with tools and a hands-on approach.
    • You have a proven ability to use related design tools, such as Revit.

    About this work area

    As Visual Merchandisers at IKEA we use our competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in the range presentation solutions at the store by working with store layout, range presentation, commercial light, and seasonal vitality. We mix our knowledge of people's life at home and our customer's needs and dreams to create inspiring and affordable solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles and price levels for many people.

    With our Småländska heritage in mind, we use the resources available to reach our goal - to secure high-quality range presentations with simplicity, efficiency, and cost-consciousness.

    You will be working in the Communication & Interior design department, but your collaboration will stretch over all functions in the store. It is a fast-paced environment where we act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities always with a high focus on sales performance. We keep ourselves updated on the latest trends and challenge ourselves to make surprising and inspiring solutions for our customers.
