    We are now looking forward to welcome a new Supply Planner to Plastic Raw Material team! 

    Supply Planner is the link between IKEA and its suppliers on all operational and logistic topics. The Supply Planner ensures that the agreed business setups are followed, updated and improved to secure the highest level of product availability for IKEA's customers with the lowest total Supply Chain cost. A Supply Planner within plastic category raw material works in a material-oriented team, in close co-operation with the Business Developer and the Production Engineer.


    Job description

    As a Supply Planner you will manage and secure a good order management between raw material supplier and Home furnishing supplier, as well as secure on time need forecast through working closely with IKEA home furnishing suppliers. In this role you will secure operational capacities by ensuring high quality of capacity data from suppliers in a proactive manner and contribute to tactical capacity planning, based on supplier performance on agreed capacity. You will build strong business relationships and prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by continuously maintaining & developing supplier delivery performance and lead-times. 

    In this role you will also: 

    • Contribute to Business Contingency Planning process for selected material in scope
    • Secure correct availability information from raw material supplier to IKEA home furnishing suppliers for the benefit of customers.
    • Update and secure correct business set-up information in all relevant systems. Furthermore work with systems and reports, to proactively detect and act on possible deviations from goal.
    • Contribute to identifying best logistical offer, furthermore implement, maintain and review by having customer and total cost in mind.
    • Actively contribute in the planning and execution of the best set-up for range changes at supplier, constraints periods and activities.
    • Continuously follow-up, analyse and take action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensure goods are shipped in time from suppliers. 
    • Contribute to Supplier Development Process and Action Planning process together with business team.
    • Develop and maintain suppliers’ logistic competence towards becoming responsible on their own performance through: working closely with suppliers, SDP projects and providing them relevant trainings & working methods.
    • Additional assignments in agreement with reporting manager.

    Qualification

    We are looking for someone with knowledge of logistics, operations and production planning in addition to supply chain processes end to end. You have the ability to take lead to ensure the supplier has goods ready in time and in full to fulfil customers’ need at lowest possible landed cost.

    • Experience of logistics planning and supplier management experience.
    • Proactive and solution oriented;
    • Ability to navigate with multiple stakeholders and complexity
    • Well-organized in multiple task assigned within given time frame.
    • Strong data analytical skills
    • Good Microsoft office skills, primarily Excel
    • Fluent in English
    • Communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholder up to date and aligned.

    Quick learner and good flexibility to adapt to change.
