    My name is Robert Becker, and I am Workplace Services Manager at Ingka. I am now looking for an experienced Manager who will lead our work around Events and Large Meetings at Workplace Services.
    We want to be a trusted Service Partner, enabling a great IKEA workplace experience at our workplaces in Malmö, Helsingborg, and Älmhult. We arrange, host, coordinate, plan, and execute over 100 events, conferences, and meetings per year.

    OUR WISH LIST: To be successful in this role you will need:

    • Degree in Event Management or related field
    • Managerial experience
    • Proven record and experience in project management and managing relationships
    • Experience in leading Event Planning, including creating and maintaining an attractive offer, and managing a proactive schedule of varying events and meetings
    • Experience in coordinating and leading large meetings and events, both physical and digital
    • Very good knowledge of English both in speech and in writing
    • Good project management skills, including digital tools from the Microsoft Office 365 suite

    A DAY IN LIFE WITH US 

    As Event Manager you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution. Together with the Event Coordinators, you will ensure that events run smoothly, meet objectives, and provide positive experience for attendees. Your main tasks are:

    • Secure strategic planning of events, including event scheduling and coordination
    • Develop, implement and improve the planning process, from customer requests and brief writing to event execution and follow up
    • Develop and maintain an event catalog that will help standardize and streamline the event planning and execution process
    • Work and collaborate with key stakeholders to secure the successful, cost-conscious, professional and impactful execution of events and meetings according to customer wishes
    • Secure events and meetings meet budget requirements and stay low-cost
    • Coordinate and manage key stakeholders, both internal and external, with the purpose of building simple and efficient ways of working together with IKEA values in the center
    • Coordinate with key stakeholders to secure safety and security, compliance, and a focus on sustainability

Within Workplace Services, about 100 co-workers currently work with restaurants, reception, office services, transportation, events, archives, security and more.
