    • IKEA Doncaster DC are looking to welcome Shunter Co-workers to join the team.

    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be: First week of April 2026
    • This role offers a starting salary of £29932.50 per annum, based on competence & experience.
    • 37.5 Hours per week working 5 days out of 7 with 1 out of 6 weekends, rotating shifts: 06:00am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm - 22:00pm. Hours will support the needs of the business.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

    • You are motivated to engage in physically demanding tasks.
    • Due to Health and Safety Regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.
    • You must hold a Full UK Drivers License.
    • Experience in heavy goods driving is desired though not essential as full training will be provided to you for this role.
    • The ability to work under minimum supervision.
    • Able to be adaptable, analyse and solve problems.
    • Rain or shine, the weather doesn't faze you! You enjoy working outside in all weather.
    • Good communication skills and proficiency in computer-based tasks, including email management.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Maneuvering vehicles and trailers using Shunt Unit within the yard.
    • Ensuring the safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers.
    • Conducting safety inspections on vehicles.
    • Following health and safety guidelines.
    • You will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound checking of trailers.
    •Ensure the safety of the site in all weather conditions, and the following of policies and safety rules and regulations.
    •Responsible of ensuring all equipment is used as intended including daily inspections of trucks.
    •Responsible for clear communications to external drivers on site rules and regulations.
