We are currently looking for an Accountant (fixed term contract, 12 months) in our Finance Performance & Operations team, based in Milan office.
As an Accountant, you secure proper and efficient accounting and reporting for the business at the given quality level keeping all deadlines.
Your tasks will include:
- Applying Local Accounting Rules & Inter IKEA Rules on accounting and financial reporting
- Supplier Invoice Management, record and manage supplier invoices, ensure accuracy and timely payments. Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Payment Coordination, Coordinate payments through IKEA Paying Agent. Handle travel expense reimbursements.
- Intercompany Invoice Management. Generate, book and send intercompany invoices. Monitor invoice status; follow up on pending payments.
- Monthly intercompany Reconciliation
- Monthly payroll booking, includingdaily allowances process; communicate with payroll provider.
- Bank Account Reconciliation: Bank registration and monthly bank account reconciliation.
- Cashflow: overall cash flow management.
- Monthly reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts; investigate and close deviation.
- Reporting and Settlement. Monthly reporting package submission.
- Asset Management: Manage asset capitalization, disposal, and depreciation.
- Monthly VAT closure, register prints, archiving.
- Regulatory Submissions: Transmit quarterly Lipe and monthly Intrastat to tax consultant. Manage monthly “esterometro.”
- Preparation for Reviews and Audits: Prepare quarterly files for supervisory body (DL: 231/2001). Prepare documentation for statutory auditors.
- Record Archiving: Print and electronically archive registers.
- Withholding Tax payment and reconciliation.
Qualification
We believe that you are a person who take the lead and drive your area of responsibility and interacting with people comes very natural to you. You are self-reliant and motivated to be a part of the development of IKEA and like to work efficiently and with continuous improvements.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or equivalent business background is required.
- Good MS office skills (word, excel)
- Knowledge of financial processes and general accounting procedures
- Advanced level of English
- Good communication skills and team player attitude
- Ability to investigative and being detail oriented.
- Good planning and problem-solving skills and co-operate with others to achieve common goals.
- Ability to take responsibility
- Well organized and structured
- Deliver excellent results on time
- Comfortable working with routines
